Figurative art
I have been working on an abstract figurative art project for some years now.
This project explores the relationship between form and the perception of beauty.
In recent years, the invasion of social media by millions of images of all kinds has led to nudity becoming popular worldwide.
However, this increase in quantity has not been matched by an increase in quality.
Due to my sensitivity, I filter, rethink and redesign my perception of beauty in the human body, focusing specifically on the female body.
Beauty emerges like an image in a dream, suspended between materiality and immateriality, judgementless and impermanent like everything else.
All of the artworks in this series are gouache on black cardboard. The format is no larger than 50 x 33 cm.
I later added charcoal to a technique combining gouache and charcoal.
